This doesn't seem like a viable option, straight line speed isn't a Mini's strong suit, it needs corners to keep up with more powerful cars.

I’m a bit surprised it could maintain minimum speed. Although, maybe minimum speed wasn’t a thing back then.

I don’t think minimum speed was ever a thing in NASCAR until their new damage rules and even now I don’t think you get kicked off the track for being slow unless you have had a wreck first to start the repair rules BS.

It’s the 1960s. Rules were minimal. Most tracks weren’t picky about who showed up as long as you had an entry fee.
